I just gave up on a save in a Coastal Highway start. I searched the entire map, all fishing shacks, bodies, buildings, the campsite, the abandoned lookout - no hatchet. Also no rifle. Since I started the game with no water, just come cold coffee, it was a struggle just to be able to search every location. That seems a little bit harsh for a Voyager start.So I never knew there were other places, after playing close to 20 hrs :P, but I looked up how to get to Coastal Highway. I have to go past the dam while following the tracks. And I did get to the "ravine" but it wasn't as I saw it in peoples videos.
